M2R is a secular program which strives to provide free and easy access to meditation for a multicultural audience with varied beliefs and backgrounds
It is designed to help interested seekers develop and sustain a habit of daily meditation with heavy emphasis on experience rather than abstract terminology or concepts
M2R is a result-oriented approach with heavy emphasis on experience and practice over theory. It is tailored towards busy individuals who are short of time and are interested in deriving maximum benefit out of the limited time at hand.
Most of the concepts and terminology used in the program are from traditional meditation practice in India where it has been passed down from one generation to the next for thousands of years. In addition to it, many other advanced techniques and practices used in the program are derived and adapted from Sahaja Yoga Meditation which is now practiced by people of all faiths and backgrounds in more than hundred countries all over the world.
Sahaja Yoga is remarkably a highly decentralized, 100% volunteer-driven, grass-roots level universal phenomenon which has truly transformed millions of lives in the past 45+ years and continues to democratize access to the ancient knowledge of meditation in this modern age.
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi (1923-2011) is the founder of Sahaja Yoga and the inspiration for M2R. She discovered and adapted ancient meditation techniques for modern life and has won numerous awards and accolades throughout the world (which are too long to list here), including nominations for Nobel peace prize.
Instructors
